Garden Tour 2008
It was a beautiful day for the annual Gardens and Gazebos Tour, sponsored by the Soroptimists International of Schenectady County and held on June 21, 2008. Every year I am amazed by the gardens I see and the beauty that the participants have created. From formal gardens, to whimsical touches, to 'wild' areas this year once again featured ponds, waterfalls, pools and of course a fabulous array of flowers and plants. If you think these gardens are beautiful just from the pictures, I have to tell you, the pictures do not compare with the experience of being there. There were eight gardens ovcerall, with the addition in 2008 of the Rose Garden in Central Park - a well-known and much loved landmark in the city of Schenectady.
