Garden Tour 2009
It was a challenging week, weather wise leading up to the annual Soroptimist Garden Tour, sponsored by the
Soroptimists International of Schenectady County and held on June 20, 2009. Heavy rains, high winds and in some cases damaging hail made final prep.
for this years' gardeners even more of a job. But, they rose to the occasion and eight beautiful gardens were on display on a day that was very overcast with
rain coming in about an hour before the tour ended. There are a couple of repeat gardens, some new and unusual gardens and the highlighted garden was the
Susan Rosenthal Memorial Garden...the tour was dedicated to the memory of Soroptimist Susan Rosenthal who died suddenly at the beginning of the year.
Below are the gardens listed in the order they were listed in the program. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard to bring about this event once again and to the
gardeners themselves, my thanks for your friendliness as I stopped by for the pictures. Your gardens are magnificent!
