Garden Tour - Nancy and Johnnie Angus

"Our garden is primarily perennials. The garden borders the yard and we have endeavored to have something in bloom from May through October. Not wanting to be slaves to the garden, our goal is to have plants that would survive without a great deal of work on our part. In the spring, hyacinths and daffodils are resplendent. Blue forget-me-not's scatter themselves around the garden at will and bloom in early spring. Various types of lilies bloom at different intervals, giving us color in both the back and side yards. Cranesbill and Bishop's weed have been used as ground cover. Shrub roses and climbers are a cheerful, colorful addition, as are the redbud and pink dogwood trees. Large holly bushes adorn both the back and front yards. Dahlias and Zinnias are planted each spring to lend additional color and are wonderful for cutting."
