"Gorges" Ithaca

It had been 18 years since we went on a real more-than-one-day getaway. And, a friend of mine mentioned Ithaca for it's waterfalls and gorges. So, on Sunday, July 31, we took off to spend a couple of days to see if she was right. She was. Following are some of the sights, they can also be seen here

Many thanks to the friendly people there, especially the clerk at the front desk of the Clarion Hotel, who also worked at Taughannock Falls, and to the staff at the local Friendly's Restaurant on N. Triphammer Road for their advice. You folks rock! We came back tired from overdoing the trails, but awed by the whole area. Below are pictures from Ithaca Falls, Taughannock Falls, Robert Treman State Park, Sapsucker Woods at Cornell University and downtown Ithaca Commons.
