TimeShare Volunteers - 9/24/11

On Saturday, September 24th, we went with TimeShare Volunteers to Rotterdam Junction and Pattersonville to take some pictures of the cleanup effort which is ongoing.

It has been a month since Irene hit, then Lee, and since then, even more rain slows the efforts to get the water OUT of the homes and dry them out. The efforts are not "news" anymore, but the need is as great as ever to help people get their lives back together. Piles of their lives are still being brought to the road for pickup...the fight against mold and mud continue and deconstruction has begun in many areas. The task is enormous. But in the midst of this, people are still helping people in many different ways.

It is imperative to keep the fight in the forefront, and hopefully this page will help. You can always check the local pages by googling "flood relief" for Schenectady and Saratoga NY counties. No gift is too small.
