Summer Flood We've had a lot of rain lately. A LOT of rain. Rivers and creeks were certainly full enough so when the forecast called for more heavy rain and flooding we took notice.

This kind of flooding normally happens in spring when the snow melts and the ice jams on the waterways. No matter when it happens you realize there is NOTHING you can do except hope for the best. Locally, we are fortunate in that no one was killed but the impact this will take on riverfront property will be incredible. Some of these pictures were taken in the Stockade where just the week before I had taken garden tour pictures. The waters have started to recede - then the cleanup must begin.
